• Watir – allows you to drive an instance of Internet Explorer via Ruby to test your web applications. Could be used for any web applications, not just Rails based.

Software

• Twitter clone written in Scala.
• ReaderSpeaker – RSS to MP3 technology. I’m not sure what the current status of text-to-speech technology is, but this sounds almost human.
