Not knocking on the mac though, especially with the new OSX - I&#039;m a linux user, but the new OSX looks great</description>

While I will (for the forseeable future) only buy Macs for my use (work forces Windows), I agree:  you can be very effective doing Rails on Windows or any of the Linux types of OS.

My reason for purchasing Macs has nothing to do with Rails, and yet, that&#039;s what I&#039;m always asked/queried about.  It almost feels like a reversal of a few years ago, when &quot;you can&#039;t use CDR/W on Macs&quot; or &quot;you can&#039;t develop ASP pages on a Mac&quot;....</description>
